In Zulu (one of the 13 languages in South Africa) Zimazela means impressive – and that is exactly what The Big Five is. The Big Five is a term covering the big five South African animals; lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard and elephant. This wine is made to honour these magnificent animals and the country South Africa for its people respecting the nature - and even in our modern times earmark resources and land for these animals to live a natural life, so that our descendants are also able to experience them as free-living animals. The wine is partially aged in 2 and 3 years old oak casks and partially in stainless steel tranks for 12 months before bottling. Afterwards it is aged in the bottle to reach perfect balance. Zimazela The Big Five is elegant, hamonious and well-balanced with beautiful colour, delicate aroma and fresh fruit. This impressive wine is perfect together with beef, grilled meat, pasta dishes and mature cheeses.
