Bright ruby colour. Flattering bouquet with scents of wild berries. The palate is round and fruity with flavours of undergrowth. A red Ventoux is similar to a north red Côtes du Rhône, but a little lighter. The wines have an appealing blackberry fruit, with a lively flavour and are pleasantly easy to drink. The elevation of the vineyards and the cooler climate than the southern Rhône mean that these wines are less heady and rich in alcohol.
