As an affectionate nod to the malt-men of yore, and inspired by our own Malt men who still turn the malting barley by hand, Monkey Shoulder is blended from three of Speyside’s finest single malts resting in first fill bourbon casks. Each batch is made by using just 27 casks carefully selected by Malt Master, Brian Kinsman. Unlike traditional blends, Monkey Shoulder is made from 100% malt whisky (not a drop of grain whisky in there) resulting in an exceptional creation. Delicate floral notes intertwined with zesty citrus orange and soft fresh fruits (peach & apricots). Hints of honey and spicy oak with rich vanilla sweetness. Beautifully sweet and rich vanilla. Brown sugar and creamy toffee balanced with oak notes and just a hint of spice. Exceptionally smooth with a lingering sweetness finish. A 100% blended malt made from three of Speyside’s finest single malts.
